Scope of works: Stage 1:
12 ha site clearing and bulk excavation contrast for new glass recycling and manufacturing facility comprising integrated recycled glass cullet plant (furnace – ready recycled glass) container glass manufacturing and finished goods warehouse facility. This development will initially process approximately 145,000 tonnes per annum of recycled material into furnace ready cullet and will manufacture approximately 200,000 tones (960,000,000 containers) per year.

CANNON HILL GOLF COURSE
Project Name: Cannon Hill Golf Course
Client: McMahons Pty Ltd
Project Value: $100,000
Date: March 2021 – June 2021
The new public golf course will be Brisbane’s first public golf course in 70 years and the only public golf course south of Brisbane River located on 1825 Creek Road, Cannon Hill. The golf course will be similiar in specification to Council’s existing golf courses such as St Lucia and Victoria Park.
The project will also involve enhancement, revegetation, and landscaping of over 100 hectares of the site, including the squirrel glider habitat remediation works involving the establishment of grasslands and wetlands, as well as the planting of trees.

PETRIE MILL REDEVELOPMENT
Project Name: Petrie Mill Redevelopment
Client: McMahon Services
Project Value: $1.6 Million
Date: August 2020 – July 2021
The Mill at Moreton Bay Priority Development Area (PDA) will facilitate the development of the University of the Sunshine Coast Moreton Bay campus. It also aims to fast-track transport related development in the existing Petrie Town Centre and land near the Kallangur and Lawnton train stations. It includes the existing Petrie Town Centre to the west of Petrie Station and land to the south of the new Kallangur station and covers an area of approximately 460 hectares.
The redevelopment of the former paper mill site will include the construction of the University of the Sunshine Coast Moreton Bay campus, new health, retail, commercial and residential developments and community infrastructure.
Scope of works: Haulage Contractor carrying out the following:
– Supply of processed 30mm minus tunnel spoil
– Stockpiling of material offsite for testing, stockpile management in compliance with Quality Control Procedures
– Import of material at target supply rate of 5,500-3,000t/day
Challenges: 24 hours, 6 days per week.

CROSS RIVER RAIL

Cross River Rail is a critical public transport infrastructure which will improve our quality of life, help our economy keep growing, generate thousands of jobs, and activate urban development across the whole region, by delivering a second river crossing, allowing more trains to run more often and integrating with new roads and new bus services to enable a turn-up-and-go transport system across the whole of South East Queensland.
Timms Haulage have a joint partnership for spoil haulage with Lantrak resource combing our expertise enables us to manage the large volume of tunnel spoil generated from this project both quickly and effectively.
The works are anticipated to be completed late 2022 (pending weather and COVID-19 measures).

Stage 1 of Carseldine Village’s anticipates to consist of an aged care/retirement development and 53 terrace residential lots linking to three nearby intersections to and from the village.

Dual Towers is located on Brisbane’s Festival Place, Newstead, Qld.
Stage 2 is a 25 story residential tower consisting of 176 dwellings, restaurants and shops, river views, basement parking, large roof top swimming pool, community vegetable gardens, driving range and much more.

South City Square Project is located in the heart of Brisbane on Logan Rd Woolloongabba, Qld.
South City Square will comprise of community based living within residential towers with 5 level basement, al fresco dining, cinema, supermarkets, medical amenities , boutique stores and shopping mall surrounding a well landscaped open park.

Challenges: Working with community compliances, other public/commercial vehicles and keeping the surroundings clean. Dust, machine/works vibration and noise compliances with community worries.

The Jimboomba Shopping Center Redevelopment is located on the Corner of Cusack Lane & Mount Lindsay Highway Jimboomba, QLD.
Revamping of the Jimboomba Shopping complex has commenced and will include a variety of 14 new food and lifestyle retailers along with health and wellness offerings.

‘The Mill’ at Moreton Bay proposed development area will deliver a University for up to 20,000 students, Healthcare, residential and supporting infrastructure. This project will create significant cultural, sporting, recreational and environmental community owned facilities for the region.
Scope of works: Haulage Contractor carrying out the following:
– Use of calibrated digital scale system on all trucks, with print out facility in truck cab.
– GPS Tracking to all vehicles to maintain project haul route compliance.
– 400,000 Tonne of Select Fill.
– Supply Drainage.
– 460 Hectare area
Challenges: Sensitive Environmental requirements surrounding wildlife and providing infrastructure for Koala Crossings.
Strict access pathways throughout the premise.
Challenges: Working over and adjacent to Energex easements, with controlled filling, works to protect the services from ground movement. High exposure site requiring careful interface with the public.

Challenges: Working over and adjacent to Energex easements, with controlled filling, works to protect the services from ground movement. High exposure site requiring careful interface with the public.

QUEENS WHARF
Project Name: Queens Wharf

Scope of works: Spoil Haulage Contractor carrying out the following:
– Major spoil haulage of concrete, contaminated soils, overburden, Acids Sulphate Soils and Rock.
– Working both day and night shift i.e 24 hrs , carting approximately 4,000 tonnes per shift.
– Use of calibrated digital scale system on all trucks, with print-out facility in truck cab
– GPS tracking to all vehicles to maintain project haul route compliance.
– All material ( approx. 450,000M3 ) to be recycled, except for contaminated soils which will be disposed of at licenced landfill facility.
Challenges: One of the biggest challenges of this project was organising a 24-hour Haulage solution through the CBD. We are working on a high exposure site requiring careful interface with the public.

Challenges: filling operations alongside a live motorway, above traffic height and against working PCBs was managed safely in conjunction with Fulton Hogan’s delivery team.

Challenges: working directly under the runway, Timms had to comply with BAC Operations requirements to manage stockpile heights and perform night works.
